One of the challenges of placing your company’s phone number in your advertisements is determining how your callers received your phone number.
A new feature being tested by Google AdWords, called AdWords Call Metrics, inserts a unique phone number into your search engine advertisements and gives you detailed call metrics based on your ad’s performance.
You can track the number of calls, call duration and number of impressions. As always, you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. Google does intend to charge for call metrics in the future.
This is a great new feature that weaves together AdWords and Google Voice technology to give advertisers the data they need to make better advertising purchases.
